Technical Details
To those who are familiar with the British Parlimentary style debate would know that there will be 8 debaters in one round, i.e. two participants for each four teams. The first two teams will be representing the upper house as the Opening Government and the Opening Opposition, whereas the remaining teams will be known as the Closing Government and the Closing Opposition under the lower house.
The 8 debaters will indulge upon the war of wits for about an hour before handing the battlefield over to the next set of fresh debaters, who will definitely be hungry for some tongue lashing fun.
No limit to the number of times you want to debate, no adjudicators to tell you to take a hike. Just pure unadulterated, uninterrupted debate mania for debaters all around.
Plus, all participants will be provided with proper meals such as breakfast, lunch, tea break, dinner and supper. Bet this reminds you of that small dream of paradise where you can eat, sleep and debate all you want. Then again why sleep when you can refresh yourself with an endless supply of steaming coffee. Don't worry, we will also be having proper mobile facilities in case you need to take nature's call.

Objectives
Overview
The Faculty of Education UiTM 50 hours non-stop longest debate is one of the main activities to promote the Faculty of Education EDU Carnival 2006 (Monday, 31 July 2006 to Saturday, 5 August 2006) which is in conjunction with Universiti Teknologi Mara’s 50th Anniversary.
In 2003, Multimedia University Malaysia’s prestigious debating society, Voices, made a national standing record of 24 hours non-stop debating. They then broke their own record in 2004 with a record-breaking of 36 hours non-stop debating. However, England still holds the world’s longest debate record of 503 hours and 45 minutes, which is about 21 days.
It is our hope that the public could come and join the faculty of Education in this record breaking feat. For more information, kindly contact us at 03-55227425 (Cik Salliza) or email us at: facedu_50hoursdebate@yahoo.com.
